Oil viscosity options:- 0W-20, 0W-30, 5W-20 & 5W-30 oils are special synthetic oils without VI improvers.

Caterpillar list API CH-4 and API CI-4 as preferred oils and API CG-4 as an acceptable alternative. These oils must meet Caterpillar's ECF-1 specification to avoid reduced engine life. API CF-4 should not be used in Caterpillar diesel engines
