- Caterpillar recommend their own brand oils with 'commercial oils' to CH-4 as a preferred alternative and CG-4 as an acceptable alternative. Monogrades and Multigrade CF oils are not recommended for any application

- Alternative recommendations, -23°C to 0°C: CD 10W

- Alternative recommendations, >0°C: MAXIDIESEL SAE 30
